Belton is a village in the historic isle of axholme in North Lincolnshire and includes the hamlets of Beltoft and Sandtoft. The village has a post office with modern shop attached, a filling station, a Church, a Methodist Chapel and a Primary School. Beltoft has a Methodist Chapel and Sandtoft has a public house.
In Belton fields there are still some strips of land from the mediaeval strip farming system.
Belton Parish Council meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month in the Public Hall on high street at 7.00pm. There is an opportunity before the meeting starts for any member of the public to address the council and raise any issues or concerns. Once the meeting commences then the public may only listen to the proceedings.
